In order to materialize the visit circuit of Levens, the tourist office imagined, designed and financed the manufacture of a signage specific to our village; a bronze arrow, which, once sealed in the ground, will guide the walker all along his discovery of Levens.

Designed by NCA, after “The Matisse Road”, Levens is an integral part of the booklet “The road of perched villages”. Printed 500 000 copies, in 5 languages ​​and distributed throughout the world by “House of France”, many tourists come to the village to visit. For the discovery of the site of the old village is facilitated, the tourist office has made and installed arrows in solid bronze sealed on the ground.

The visitor has only to follow this “arrow game” to discover the thousand and one wonders of Levens. Going from place to place, from plot to square, from paved alley to narrow passage, pontis and “secret”, he will be able to discover exceptional panoramas of the Mediterranean in Gelas, the stone of “Boutaù”, the old doors of the feudal enclosures, the family home of the Marshal of the Empire André Masséna, “the darling child of the victory”, the birthplace of the 1st French mayor of Nice François Malausséna and the house of the Portal where all the year are held exhibitions, without forgetting the Saint Antoninus’ church, the chapels of the black penitents and white penitents, with a climax, the wedding hall decorated with frescoes by Dussour. On these hot days, 600 m above sea level, 20 km from Nice, the fresh air and the freshness await visitors, their curiosity, their desire for novelties will not be disappointed, do not forget swimsuits and towels, the pool being open every day from 10 am to 7 pm in July and August!
